Welcome to Mrs. Randall's sixth grade Social Studies class. This year we will be covering ancient civilizations. Students will study prehistory, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece,
Amphora
and Rome. We will cover important events, people, geography, and culture. Presentations, field trips, hands on activities, reading, and writing activities are planned through out the year. Students will use a variety of resources including trade books, reference materials, and video clips to help with understanding the content. Reading and writing in the content area are a focus for us in the classroom. There will be a variety of ways that students will show understanding of the content matter.
Homework is generally assigned when it relates and enhances the student learning. It does count as 10% of the overall grade. Absences
Work missed due to absences is the responsibility of the student. Afterschool
I am usually available afterschool every day but Friday. Tuesday is the day that I am available all the time. Contact
